Noumea, a city of many faces, offers a range of commercial activities in one neighbourhood after another.

From Ducos, a thriving zone of building contractors and tradesmen, a visitor can then pass through the industrial area of Doniambo, specialising in nickel, before heading on to the city centre, where the shops and business centres are the second economic heart of the capital.

Noumea’s bays, together with the Nouville peninsular and its university, are well-known for their tourist appeal, with long sandy beaches running along a promenade lined with hotels and restaurants.

The Port of Noumea is also a very active area in the fields of maritime trade, fishing and coastal trade as well as with cruise ships and pleasure craft.  Not forgetting the municipal market, further along the quay in Baie de la Moselle.

And finally, the city’s dynamic economic activity has led to the creation of new hubs, such as the Yahoué Business Zone and the Belle Vie Shopping Centre…
