Play parks

Contents

The 25 children's play parks set up in the various districts of Noumea constitute living spaces as well as recreational and relaxation areas where children and their parents can all meet up in a safe and friendly environment.  These parks offer around a hundred pieces of play equipment for all ages. Games are cleaned and disinfected every week, green spaces are maintained twice a month and the equipment and facilities are regularly checked and replaced when necessary. Almost twenty parks have been renovated since 2008.

Opening times are the same for all of them :

  • Winter (1st April to 31 October ): 08:00 - 18:00
  • Summer (1st November to 31 March ): 08:00 - 19:00

The following activities are banned within the confines of these parks: organised games for adults and any violent games liable to bother or disturb park users, any games other than with the facilities provided for that purpose, including ball games,  and riding bikes or motorbikes. No animals are allowed in the parks and, of course, it is forbidden to consume alcohol within the parks.
